Carrie (1976) - looking for a song
it's at the 35 minute mark, with John Travolta and a female who are parked...
I heard the lyric "drive-in" -- very hard to make them out with the two talking (Travolta slaps her during the song) I usually find songs doing a search, but I can't find it.. "her way of loving is the key oooh wah, baby baby (it's not The Miracles - Ooh Baby Baby) |
It's Vance or Towers - Lady Lay
But unfortunately it's nowhere to be found: The duo released one self-titled LP in 1975 which includes "Education Blues," the song that opens the prom -- though the version in the film drastically differs from the LP cut. It's also presumed that Vance or Towers provided a second song in the movie, "Lady Lay," an aptly-titled mellow do-wop tune that scores the scene where Chris performs fellatio on Billy. Towers and a quartet of writers were responsible for this song and two short instrumental cues heard during the prom: "Pre-Prom Disco" and "Ernest's Announcement." Unfortunately, a recording of "Lady Lay" has never surfaced anywhere, though "Ernest's Announcement" is heard in its entirety as the opening titles music for Tom DiSimone's gay porn flick "Catching Up." |

Ok, post the YouTube-link then, because i couldn't find it at all.
Lyrics are correct, though i think they are lyrics to the song Lady Lay as written above. I can't post links yet, but if you google "Question about a song in the movie Carrie. PLEASE help if you can" you can read a similar post to yours. |
