Harry Potter Ultimate Editions on DVD and Blu-ray
Harry Potter Ultimate Editions Announced Last month, rumors began to surface that Warner Bros. was going to release ultimate editions of the first two “Harry Potter” movies. While no one was sure if it would be theatrical or on home video, today WB officially announced the titles and they are home video releases. So to help promote the December 8th release, WB has cut a new trailer which details what you can expect to see on the DVD’s and Blu-rays. If you’re a fan of the “Harry Potter” franchise, you might wanna pick this up. Since reading about what’s coming is not as fun as watching a video, here’s the trailer for the new ultimate editions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8zSVKZd8U4& As you can see, the plan is for the first two films to get special editions this year and we’ll probably get two or three more next year. Of course, the big question is what will Warner Bros. do when the franchise is over. Could they eventually re-release all the ultimate editions in theaters? After all, there will always be kids who haven’t seen the adventures of “Harry Potter” on the big screen and since the films are loved, people will probably pay to see them again. Especially if there is new footage. The big news is the “Sorcerer’s Stone” will have 7 minutes of footage added into the movie and “Chamber of Secrets” will have 13 minutes. Of course both editions have a TON of extras. Here’s the press release along with cover artwork: See Harry Potter as Never Before!
