I watched a great movie around may 2007 and I'd like to know its title. I didn't watch it on theaters, but on a DVD. This is a romantic/drama movie in english and the only thing I remember is the story. The things I'm not certain about are in brackets.
A woman has problems with her relationships with men. She kinda likes a man (from work) who doesn't pay attention to her (, and, on the contrary, makes fun of her and makes her feel bad). She also has a difficult relationship with her mother.
Then she starts dating another woman they both know (from their circle of friends). Her mood changes drastically and he notices it. He (starts feeling attracted to her and) asks her what is going on. She tells him that she's with this girl, and he doesn't understand at first, and then he is astonished.
At the end, (she realizes she's straight) and (they end up together).
That's it. I don't know if it's reasonable to give you more details, but I'm gonna give it a try:
There is a scene were she is on the table having dinner with the guy and some other friends, and he makes fun of her in front of all their friends, and she feels really bad. They are outdoors.
There is another scene where she and him are talking on a flat roof, at night, and he asks her what's going on, and tells her that he kinda likes her. She replies that she is with this other woman they both know. Then he goes like:
"I don't understand. You're with her. She's your friend. Then?"
"You don't get it. I am WITH her. We are in a relationship"
There is a last part I remember. She talks with her mother, and the mother tells her about her childhood. She tells her that she was very enthusiastic about a theater play at her school. But then, the mother learns that she was no longer acting in that play. When the mother asks her why, she replies that she wasn't given the main role. The mother tells her this story to explain to her that she has always been very perfectionist and that it has always been a problem for her life.
