Coloured Night of the Living Dead - Good thing or not?!
No.

Bad idea on the color issue.
What was really stupid Dodge? The color? Are you talking about the film itself, even though the thread topic is clearly about a color version of the film?

It was really stupid. And boring. I've sat through better wheelchairs.
Anyway, I've watched both versions and it didnt have nearly the same effect in color that it did in B&W. Some films just belong in B&W and Night of the Living Dead is a glaring example.

I think coloring in Night of the Living Dead is a waste of color.
I don't know if this came across properly in my last sentence, but Night of the Living Dead sucks.

I think Night of Living Dead has lived large off of its reputation as a seminal horror classic for a long time and that's not right, because the actual movie is amazingly lame. I understand that it was produced forty years ago, but still, dang, that thing is boring as all heck. Maybe my appreciation for it is dimmed because I saw so many better, more recently made zombie-related flicks before I saw Night of the Living Dead, but I'm still fairly confident it's just a bad movie. I'd rather watch that Simpsons Halloween episode, instead.

Do you mean the film in general or just the color version?

The idea of a colorized Night of the Living Dead almost makes me physically ill. They already remade it in color in 1990, so watch that one if you want to see it in color. As far as the "quality" of the original goes, I'll admit that my first impression, about 35 years ago, was that it was flat-out bad, but it seems better to me now than it used to be. I'm getting all mushily-revisionist in my old age.
