MoFo Fantasy Football - 2024 Season

Tools

Anyway after this latest debacle my opponents are now averaging 122 points per week.

Wylde is second at 117.

Nobody else is even at 110. 75% of the league has a normal distribution between 101 and 109. Lowest is just 96.
@Yoda Wonder what the total points scored by each team in the NFL would compare to their standings? Would there be anomalies like in our fantasy league and others?

Roto just doesnt fit for FFB. For Baseball it seems like a good fit because the seasons are 6 months long. Its nowhere near the level of excitement of Football, has more depth, and so the Roto compliments the feel of Baseball well.

Do FFB matchups make sense? Yes, because Football doesnt award the highest scoring team of the year the Lombardi Trophy. What team wanted it more and executed accordingly on that given day. The psychological aspect, drama, and best stories involve upsets and weirdness.

I had the SuperBowl MVP QB, their RB, and their WR1 last season yet couldnt make the playoffs. I went to a MoFo Bowl with Drew Brees, Le'Veon Bell, Larry Fitzgerald, Adrian Peterson, and lost because they all had an awful game that week.

It may seem unfair, but it actually is very fair. Just unpredictable, exciting, and frustrating.

In the NFL, the team actually allows the points. They interact with the other team and have influence over how many points are scored.

In fantasy, we don't interact with the other team and none of the decisions we make influence how many points are scored against us.

It's completely random. It's fair in the same way rolling dice is fair.

Very curious to see how my squad does this week. Every starting player healthy and playing. I sure hope going forward I wont be the 3rd lowest scoring team in the league anymore.

QB Russell Wilson
WR Tyreek Hill
WR Cooper Kupp
RB Christian McCaffrey
RB Alvin Kamara
TE Dallas Goedert
FLEX Davante Adams
K Chris Boswell
DEF Minnesota

Ive a feeling I wont.
The only players on my squad from my draft are McCaffrey and Kupp. Goedert made a few stops.
Not trying to build my ego or be vainglorious, but after how the seasons gone so far I could use a little good press

The trick is not minding
I heard Justin Tucker just missed 2 kicks. That makes me sad.
I’m surprised you stuck with Wilson facing a tough Pittsburgh Defense over Carr facing Cleveland.

Yeah, I meant Baltimore lol.
Doesn’t look like it’ll hurt you any, as you’re comfortably in the lead.
I just went with Wilson because of his upside, and his defense matchup with Baltimore was in green.
Now I gotta figure what or where to do with MVS as it seems hes putting up the numbers like the guy he replaced on the Saints.

Idk. Carr always has more upside due to being a better passer these days. Better recieving corps as well. Definitely the better matchup.
Didn’t matter, so far, though. You got the win, and your team is rolling now.

Could you imagine how many Saints though Id have on my roster? QB, RB, WR, and TE. Thats alot to chance for a team with such a losing record. I think ill leave MVS & Carr on my bench, and Taysom too because Cottons been more consistent. IDK, just for me stating that means ill end up doing the opposite.

Carr and Kamara would be the only ones worth playing on a weekly basis compared to the rest of your roster.
Maybe T Hill at TE, but as you said, Otton has been more consistent since Godwin and Evans were injured so mighty as well stay with Otton.

Regardless, your team seems to have found its footing with the trades you have made. The playoff race for the last 3 spots have gotten more interesting.

Parrotheads and 11 Angry Men are in a close one this week. Hey Fredericks been winless, Yodas cursed, who will prevail?!
If he doesnt beat Yoda he may beat me next week as Ill be without my Saints and Davonte Adams. My replacements are wanting to say the least.

Getting the win this week, but it was tough. Next week I get Sedai in a rematch from week 1.
I won’t have Burrow or Brown, so this is going to be a rough matchup.

A system of cells interlinked
Boy, I took a real whoppin' this week. Of course in my other league, in which I started both St. Brown and Taysom Hill, I am going to end up scoring almost 180 points. Them's the breaks!

In my primary league (ten teams), the one with my wife and where we play for money, I am going to be 9-2 ahead of two teams at 7-4. Feeling good, there. Just have to avoid any major injuries going into the playoffs. I have St. Brown in that league.

Yeah both my other teams are doing pretty well, even have a lot of the same players, which just underscores what a difference timing can make in schedules and all that.

I'm doing awful in all my leagues except the guillotine league. Top 3 in points in that one but that doesn't mean jack squat. A nice bonus in my money league, this week is I beat the Commish, who only had one loss coming in and it wasn't a stinker win. We have the top two scores in the league. Made a note to myself: Never go WR/WR in rounds 1 and 2 again. Tyreek and Nico in two leagues...ugh!
