You can add Children of Men to the list of films that I required multiple viewings of to recognize its brilliance.
I've gone from believing it was simply "solid" to "very good", now, on a fourth viewing, I've come to acknowledge that it deserves its all its praise and should rightfully be considered one of the best films of the 00s.
No Country for Old Men was the same way for me. It took three viewings before it truly hit me how frickin amazing a film it is... now it's one of my favorites.
