Davis, playing twins again nearly two decades after her first twin outing in "A Stolen Life", is excellent, along with everyone else in the cast. Great black-and-white cinematography and plenty of locations around early 1960s Los Angeles. A lesser-known film, but well worth a viewing.

A Stolen Life was from 1946. It's a drama not a noir. Are you thinking of Bette Davis' Dead Ringer (1963)? That one has some location shots in Los Angeles.
