The film pays particular attention to scale and seeing Kong here is probably the most exciting since the original Kong in 1933.

It's this fresh take on the story of Skull Island that helps make the movie seem newer than other Kong movies.

Movie Trivia; Kong's design is inspired by a combination of King Kong (1933) and the Japanese adaptation in the 1960s.

Then again my most memorable and favorite King Kong movie I saw was King Kong vs Godzilla.

But, judging by this film alone, when Godzilla, and Kong finally duke it out, Godzilla's definitely going to kick Kong's ass.

King Kong, the big gorilla from the mysterious island was probably the first monster in movie history to be a star and have a movie named after him in 1933.

I also feel that the film keeps in touch with the sentiments of the other films in terms of Kong and his character.
