This is James Cameron in his prime working in his element in a fantastic sci-fi action film that is a great sequel that stand the test of time as well as stands up to the tremendous quality of the original film.
The Sci-Fi Slob
A few characters in Aliens mirror those of the first film: Bishop the android for Ash, Hicks for Dallas, and Newt the young girl they discover crawling around the air-ducts of LV-426 represents the daughter that Ripley lost during her many years in hyper sleep.
Sexy Celebrity
It has a bunch of Marines all geared up and psyched to kill aliens and most of them end up getting killed by the aliens, but unlike the first film, the death scenes aren't really all that traumatic to the characters.
