That does sound to me like a musical.

Although it also sounds a bit like The Commitments. Which to me doesn't seem like a musical.

But that's what animated bears do.
In most cases they wouldn't be animated if they didn't talk and sing.
We wouldn't be watching them if they just did normal bear stuff.
