Last Action Hero

Re: Last Action Hero

I loved it. It predates Scream, Cabin In The Woods etc with its meta narrative. But I think at that time the, the cinema audience just couldn't get it... plus some bad marketing as well. I only...

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Saw

As someone who hates 'Young Adult' franchises I quite like the Hunger Games films. Catching Fire is a good film. The ending was very weak though. 7/10.

Re: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Just watched it today.. and its really good. I didn't like the ending, but apart from that its a solid film. The first half before the actual games begun was really riveting. These movies are on a...

300 was a pain to sit through. I was really bored during that. I don't understand why its so highly rated.

Re: 10 Sci-fi Movies That Probably shouldn't have ever been made

Equilibrium is a good film. Sure its seems a little too inspired by The Matrix, but i enjoyed it more than Revolutions. Looper is a bad film, and very overrated, but far from the worst.

I am...

10 Sci-fi Movies That Probably shouldn't have ever been made

Its not the 10 worst, but for sure they are certainly bad (http://goo.gl/OvX7he)...

Re: "Queen of the Damned" (2002)

I'm a huge Aaliyah fan and I loved Interview With A Vampire. Not sure what went wrong here though. Queen of the Damned was a campy pop version of Interview. Horrible.

Bad But Gorgeous Movies

Re: Bad But Gorgeous Movies

Oblivion was an incredibly gorgeous looking movie, even though the story was not executed as well as it should have been. I'd say 300 was a bad movie. Don't get the love for it. It looked good, but I...

Re: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

I am looking forward to this. This looks like Stiller's equivalent to Carey's Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. This off-key sci-fi fantasy could indeed be something special.

Recommendations for good timetravel alternate reality movies?

I am looking for good mind-bender time-travel/alternate reality flicks, but not the usual Back to the Future/Star Trek/Donni Darko recommendations. I prefer more obscure features like Primer, Time...

Dark Skies 2012 (very quick review)

Dark Skies is Poltergeist with aliens. Still one of the creepier alien abduction movies you will ever see, it looses significant points for not having an actual ending. The family being pestered by...
