I just want to remark about these ones in particular that I think they are very fun Halloween-season movies.

I'm glad you liked it.

I really like what the movie has to say about the price of revenge, not just on the person taking revenge, but on the people caught in the crossfire. As much as movies glorify revenge---and as satisfying as it can be as a viewer to watch someone "get what they deserve"---there is something fundamentally dehumanizing about doing harm to someone else, even if it is justified.

I also think that it's visually really stunning with those blues that are both rich and cold.

Yes! It was really visually impressive! I also liked the 'true cost of revenge' aspect. It's about extremely broken people, destroying everything they touch.

Can I recommend a few?

Opstandelsen ( it's under Zombie Exorcism) on Tubitv
Vittra ( English Wither) on Tubitv
Skjult ( English Hidden) on Plex
Thale on Tubitv
Draug on Tubitv
Sennentuntsche on Tubitv

That's a start

When I watched them Tubitv wasn't available yet.

I liked Zombie Exorcism. I'm not used to movies being less than an hour long and in this case it's the right length. A simple dark and gory tale, well filmed. Very claustrophobic and unsettling.

Thank you. Even though you can tell is a low budget film, I think it's one of the best Zombie films ever made.

When Animals Dream is a werewolf film.

Sorry I'm posting so much but I think of a filmfrom a specific region ad try to think of more. After this, I will stop for a while.

Asian

Art of The Devil 1 & 2
Bedevilled
The Heirloom
Dumpling
Moebius - Warning: It's a Kim Ki-duk film and a bit strange.

Totally Killer was fun. Nothing new, but I enjoyed it. Very similar to the Happy Death Day movies.
There's a movie coming out on Netflix called Time Cut, it seems like it's in the same vein as Totally Killer, which comes out October 30. I can't wait to check it out.

Horror short films recommendations...

Floor 9.5 (2017) - 2 minute short
Cloven (2018) - 6 minute short from Bahrain
The Fall (2019) - 7 minute short from Jonathan Glazer (Under the Skin, The Zone of Interest)
Undying Love (2011) - 12 minute short from Iceland
A Girl Alone in a House (2018) - 19 minute home invasion

I loved Host! It's one of my top 3 found footage horror movies (other two are As Above So Below, and the original Blair Witch).

The Void was also very good. They achieved a lot worth a relatively small budget.

I'll check the others out. (I've got a master list of horror movies to see, that they can go on)

I've been meaning to check out As Above So Below, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I remember reading mixed things back in the day, but it seems in recent years people have reevaluated it cause most of what I hear now is good.

Lesser known horror films I would recommend:

Bed of the Dead (2016)
The Curse of the Cat People (1944)
Devil Doll (1964)
Doctor X (1932)
Evils of the Night (1985)
The House on Sorority Row (1983)
Kaijû sôshingeki (1968)
Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural (1973)
The Lure (2015)
The Maid (2005)
Massacre at Central High (1976)
Midnight Movie (2008)
Mikey (1992)
Naked Fear (2007)
Night of the Demon (1980)
The Shiver of the Vampires (1971)
Thirteen Women (1932)
Two Orphan Vampires (1997)

I'm not sure why people rate it low. I thought it was really good claustrophobic horror.
