The Odyssey (Christopher Nolan)

Christopher Nolan's next film following the somewhat successful Oppenheimer could be announced within a couple of weeks, according to industry insiders.

While the title and subject of the new Nolan film are likely to remain closely-guarded secrets until he's ready to announce his new baby to the world, trade publications had speculated he might be working on an updated version of The Prisoner

Whatever the project is, it is sure to attract a lot of attention and intense competition among Hollywood's top stars to be cast in the movie

I'm really looking forward to 2026. New Spielberg, new Nolan, new Hunger Games, and the start of the Harry Potter tv show. Wow, I'm a normie.
The Harry Potter TV show might not be ready until 2027, there seems to be a lawsuit that could potentially slow things down unless WB settles it out of court.

We'll burn that nonexistant-in-the-books bridge when we come to it.

And hopefully add some other exciting stuff. Maybe Martin McDonagh will have something ready by then.

I always likes when he picks actors he has never worked with before as the lead. Damon is a great actor was just hoping for new blood.

I was really holding my breathe for a Western from Nolan. I just think he would kill a Western. It would be gorgeous and the action would be great. See what kind of cool practical stuff he would come up with. Plus he would probably add some psychological elements and make it appeal to a wide audience. Feel like with Damon in the lead it won't happen though..he was good in True Grit though.

Wonder who else he will wrangle into the pic. Denzel will would be cool since he already has a relationship with his son. Teller selfishly since he is from my home town would be sweet. I really like that Jenna Ortaga gal she seems to get it. Who knows we will see soon! Once he news starts leaking it usually comes fast with the cast for Nolan.

Um OK but Nolan has worked with Damon before

I took him to mean that he picks new leads. Kind of like using the supporting roles as a try out for being the lead next time.

Anyway, Damon's solid, but as with any Nolan film I'll sit up and take interest when we hear the topic/concept/whatever.

If the right project comes, he'll cast the person who is right for the role, like Cillian Murphy in Oppenheimer, with whom he had already worked a bunch of times.

At least I think that's how he does things.

Somewhat successful? Wasn't it one of the highest grossing films that year?

That was pure snark on my part.

So Christopher Nolans gonna make another movie. How compelling.
Yeah, apparently about vampires during the 1920's.

With a cast like this, I may have to overlook the fact that it's Nolan film

This cast just keeps getting better!

And now, Charlize Theron has joined the cast.

With a cast like that, I can overlook who's directing it.

Nolan can be hit or miss, but I did love Oppenheimer, so I'll probably be in the theaters for whichever this next film will be.
