Hi Guys, Reading books is my hobby. I like some books very much. These books are.
'Salem's Lot' Stephen King
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Running With Scissors
The Twilight series
1984 by George Orwell

I also really love Where the Wild Things Are, and any Dr. Seuss book.

Cool to see a couple mentions for Where the Wild Things Are. I do volunteer work tutoring ESL students and we read that recently. It really took trying to explain the nuances of that book to people who aren't fluent in English for me to realize just how awesome it is. In the Night Kitchen and Outside Over There are also good but not as good.

That's really awesome that you do volunteer work. Not many people out there giving back these days.

I am burdened with glorious purpose
Hard to pick five... but for now, I'll go with:

Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee - Dee Brown
To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee
The Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck
Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
Wisdom of the Native Americans - Kent Nerburn
Nice list! I read Wounded Knee when it came out in the 70s (I think it was the 70s) and it changed my life in some ways. The book blew me away and awakened an interest in Native Americans that I've had all my life. I especially enjoy their poetry and when I was a student getting my teaching degree, I chose NA poetry as my "lesson" to the other students. It was the first thing I ever taught! Caitlyn, have you read any Sherman Alexie? Check out my number 3 book.

Anyway.... top five favorite books:

1. Huckleberry Finn -- Twain; the best book ever written.
2. Lord of the Rings -- Tolkien; the second best book ever written.
3. Reservation Blues -- Sherman Alexie (Native American writer)
4. Pride and Prejudice -- Austen (I also love Northanger Abbey)
5. Harry Potter series. (can't pick just one...)

Thanks.... I haven't read any of Sherman Alexie's books but have seen Smoke Signals which was taken from his book, The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven ... and is on my "to read list". I just added your number 3 to my list too...

Sounds like I would have really enjoyed having you as one of my teachers...
