Yeah I turned this off once because of a mistake with the boys hat in the first two scenes, but it's so well rated and respected I still want/have to see it.
Strangers on a Train (1951) Thrills, Ebert, 50's
Hitchcock that has been on my watchlist for ever, thanks for the push, looking forward to it!

Can't go wrong with Hayao Miyazaki . I think/hope.
The Innocents (1961) Horror, 60's, horror 2019
I love The Others (kidman) and I've been told this one served as inspiration for, so looking forward to it, been on my radar since the Horror countdown.

I'm pretty sure Cricket said the reveals would be kept secret until after all the votes was in. That's what most of us wanted and makes for the most fun.

I agree with you, but I'm sure Cricket said CaptainT's choices won't be posted until after he has watched all and voted.

I will be guessing who choose what for me, that's half the fun, but I prefer if we keep the mystery and not reveal until voting is done.

Just dawned on me to count the movies, we each have 13, so CaptainT's choices wasn't posted yet.

Some very cool lists and I see that there is a number of crossovers, so a few of us will be talking about the same film at times.
Also, great job adding in the genres, @cricket. I see what you mean about the possibility of clearing out a large number of lists! I think @Citizen Rules has one with the most: seven genres.

This is an interesting list for me. Especially since there's no Favorite List of mine or Review Thread of mine to track and configure except for a Top Ten Favorite in my profile so I was both excited and worried about what I would end up with. But I'm pretty happy with this: A nice chunk of one's I've really needed to see. Some I haven't heard of but am intrigued by and a few I wouldn't have watched but I have a feeling I'll discover I actually enjoy.

The Straight Story (1999) 90's Had never heard of this one. While I have bounced back and forth with Lynch, this does have a couple of actors I enjoy: Sissy Spacek and, with my recent watch of The Gray Fox, I'm looking forward to seeing Richard Farnsworth again. Also, I am very intrigued by the story.

The Graduate (1967) 100 years, laughs, passions, 60's Speaking of "really needed to see", an iconic film that I'll FINALLY watch.

House of Games (1987) Ebert Had never heard of this one but it does sound very much up my alley. YAY

Parasite (2019) Best picture, Cannes' I've seen a couple of Bong Joon Ho films and really enjoyed them and I DO love me some South Korean films so this should be quite the unexpected treat.

The Night of the Hunter (1955) Thrills, Ebert, 50's Another, HIGHLY "really needed to see" film. THANK YOU!

Dazed and Confused (1993) 90's Considering I pretty much lived this film, I never bothered to watch it, but I have heard good things. . . so, should be a fun watch.

The Imposter (2012) Docs This is quite the wild card. Intrigued to see where this lands.

Do the Right Thing (1989) 100 years, Ebert, 80's I have never been interested in seeing this - for no real specific reason. Though, at the same time, I knew, if I ever did, I got a feeling I'd enjoy it. So. . . now I get to know.

A Town Called Panic (2009) Animations Completely unknown to me. But it's French AND Surreal ANNND an animation?? I am intrigued.

Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927) 100 years, passions, sight & sound, best picture, Ebert, Pre-30's One of the top Pre-Thirties film I SHOULD have, but didn't get to watch for the Countdown and now I get to rectify that. SWEET

Rififi (1955) Noirs, Ebert, 50's ANOTHER "really should see" since I first saw it appear in the 50's Countdown. Even more so after seeing such films as Le Cercle Rouge and Le Samourai.

All the President's Men (1976) 100 years, thrills, cheers, 70's Another Iconic film I never got around to seeing!! Another YAY!

Black Narcissus (1947) British, Film4's 50, 40's Now this is an amazing wild grab since it has continually caught my eye and I have never been able to actually check it out, so I am both impressed by who picked it and happy to see it here.

Both surprising nominations for me, and both of them had two members trying to pick them for me. I don't see why I wouldn't like them and there are Sci-Fi movies I love so we'll see.

Up until about 6 years ago, I hadn't seen any Woody Allen films. Then I watched a bunch and really liked most of them. I think I'll like this too.

Coincidentally, I was very close to choosing Primer for you.
I guess everyone just wants you to finish your Sci-fi list for some reason.

Rashomon (1950) yes! Love Akira-San! Fun fact! I started to watch this one dark and stormy night, after having cleaved it to my DVR. The storm blew my power out. And apparently wiped my DVR 🙁. We had to replace it and I hadn’t gotten the chance to give it a second go.
Adaptation (2002) on my list of must see.
Blood Simple (1984) same.
Double Indemnity (1944) same! Also was on my DVR that got wiped but never started it. Probably picked by Citizen
Before Sunrise (1995) familiar with it, but was not an immediate priority in regards to what to watch next. Would have eventually, since it’s highly recommended. This will give me a chance to see something I probably wouldn’t have anytime soon.

Johnny Guitar (1954) so happy to see this! Probably thanks to Ed for this. Was planning on watching this soon since it’s available on Amazon.

I’m also really glad to see Documentaries well represented here. I feel it’s a genre that doesn’t get many watches because of its style.
There’s so many I’ve watched that are up there in terms of greatness, especially films like Life Itself, Life Animated, The Invisible War, Genocide, Waco: The Rules of engagement and 4 Little Girls.

If and when we do this again (and why shouldn’t we?!) don’t be afraid to nominate Disney films for me.
I’m actually quite jealous at Citizen having Bambi selected for him.
This goes for all genres in general. All decades. Sci-fi, documentary, horror, giallo, silent and foreign films alike.
Just want that out there so everyone is aware it doesn’t matter what I watch.

I just went to my local library and found out that all of the library branches in my county are closed for quarantine reasons. That means I have to find all of these movies online, fingers crossed.

I will try to help anyone find a movie if they need help, just give a shout out.

I think I'm going to go right down my list, so I finished The Straight Story this evening. It's a little too late to write up a review since I'll be leaving work very soon, so I'll kick it out tomorrow night.
