84 The Talented Mr Ripley 1999 USA Anthony Minghella
The Talented Mr Ripley was on my old list but I recently replaced it with Purple Noon. Have you seen it already? Reason I ask is because it's more in line 'stylistically' with the rest of your list.

I don't think I watched all of it, but I've checked it out before.
I'll stick it on my (pretty short actually) to-watch-list though and give it another try.
I think Minghella does a really good job of it though, and love the cast.

I love the variety of countries/decades you have here so far. Are you on Letterboxd?
Thanks very much. Glad you've appreciated the list
I gave it a lot of though, and spent a lot of time on the order, particularly the top 40 or so!
No, I only found out about it a couple of days ago on here. Actually, I lie, yes I did open an account, but then I couldn't really work out the point of it so didn't do anything with it.

Letterboxd is excellent for keeping lists.

I prefer Letterboxd over IMDb as the various sorting options for your lists are more intricate and there's the social aspect of following your friends. I'm not a Pro or Patron subscriber though, so I'm definitely missing out on some other features.

No reason why anyone should be the least bit interested, but I pretty much have my 100 ready. Just need to sort out some brief commentary and/or photos or whatever (something to make it look a bit interesting).

Looking at a couple of others, the standard method seems to be to do it 10 films at a time?

I've broadly used the following criteria:
-technical and innovation
-visual beauty
