This song never gets attention
Elton John - Love Song
Great song, so smooth.

@Jeff Talking Heads' Take Me to the River is one of my very favorite songs. Never get tired of that one.

@John-Connor Why are your Elton picks off-topic? Right on topic, I'd say and good choices! And I'll have to come back and do some picks of the artists you picked from. Some really good stuff there!

I was just listening to "Yesterday and Today" this morning... Ever listen to Peter Banks' Empire?

Here's a band I need to get into. Heard of them for years and still don't know a single song.
I always refer to the duo as sound artists, who carve out sonic landscapes which are texturally resonant using electronic tools like a professional craftsman. Music is about the combination of tones and rhythm, and to that end they have played around with time signatures as well as create textures of all kinds that evoke moods of the listener. Start with Incunabula, Amber and Garbage. Then progress to the more avant garde/experimental phase that culminates in Confield and Draft 7:30. After listening to Autechre, other electronic acts like Orbital, Future sound of london, Squarepusher, etc. all appear to be too amateurish and silly. Aphex twin and Four tet has moments of brilliance, but never reaching the depth and scope of what Autechre has accomplished. There are now a ton of sub-genres that branch out of this genre of music that Autechre has pioneered - I think theres lots of good stuff here and there from sporadic artists. Carbon Based Lifeforms, Recondite, Voices from the Lake are some notable ones, especially the self-titled album Voices from the Lake (2014), which is my top 10 album of all time.

Start with Incunabula, Amber and Garbage.

This is what I needed, since I had no idea where to start. Although it should be noted that I'm very much into all kinds of music that pushes at the fringe of the avant garde, so I could probably handle their hardest stuff right from the get go.

But maybe I'll just dip my toe in for now.

Now to find an affordable copy of one of these somewhere is the next challenge.

Besides You Can Call Me Al which is one of my favorite songs of all time and musical genres. Paul Simon is a bit of a blind spot for me.. I'm going to dive into his discography one day starting with the songs you've posted.
