Brady Corbet wins best director, as I predicted. I really want to see The Brutalist and hope it gets released wide or on demand soon.

I wanna see Flow and Memiors of a Snail.
I think they're both terrific, especially if you like animals.

It's going wider on Friday. I'll be able to watch it in 70mm

It probably won't play near me.

Wicked wins Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, as I predicted. Well deserved.
It was so nice to see Chu and the cast up there accepting the award!!

Groan. Emilia Pérez wins best musical/comedy. The other five nominated films were all far superior. Why do people like Emilia Pérez so much? It's not that good.

I thought it was a pretty good show, although I wasn't happy with Emilia Pérez winning best musical/comedy and Anora being shut out completely. Anora might not be as strong as I initially thought and might not win best picture at the Oscars.

It's always best not to take awards shows too seriously, imho.

The Brutalist wins best drama. Is it now the frontrunner for the Oscar?
It depends on if the voting block will allow back to back years of a Jewish epic period piece biopic. I believe Wicked is the front runner but once again will the academy give Universal back to back wins. Typically they try and spread out the awards to different companies.

Anyways very happy to see Flow beat the Wild Robot and Demi Moore get her career award. The Substance getting a big push right now makes me happy. Even though the film was a top ten horror film for me this year it is good to see Coralie Fargeant is a legit female filmmaker who I believe can break through like Robert Eggers has this year.

Perez isn't going to win it's Netflix, the Apple and Hulu wins killed the audience for the Award.

I've seen Sacred Fig, prefered Emilia Perez.
Not very interested by All we imagine as Light, I skipped it.
I'm Still Here soon on theatres, I want to watch this.
The Girl with the Needle, I must check when it comes out.

Even before the Golden Globes, it was announced as the best film of the year.
I mean I wouldn't be surprised, when I look at the movies I'm not convinced by any of them.
Now we have to wait until the beginning of February to watch it.
And Emilia Perez is probably going to win in the foreign category.
