Had I any Uniques, Holds? Sounds like a trading card game now. I can't have been the only person to vote for The Parallax View or Cross of Iron, Shirley? I'll take Silent Running on the chin...
#148 Escape from Alcatraz (36 points, four votes)
#156 Silent Running (34 points, two votes)
#246 Cross of Iron (18 points, two votes)
#397 The Parallax View (3 points, just you)

#397 The Parallax View (3 points, just you)
It's a conspiracy. Why can't anyone see that?!?

1 Jaws
2 Taxi Driver
3 Death Race 2000
4 Enter The Dragon
5 Chinatown
6 The Warriors
7 The Godfather
8 Over The Edge
9 The Taking Of Pelham One, Two, Three
10 Dawn Of The Dead
11 Rollerball
12 Get Carter
13 Picnic At Hanging Rock
14 All The President's Men

18 Foxy Brown
19 Logan's Run
20 Halloween
21 Macbeth
22 Capricorn One
23 Theatre Of Blood
24 The Wicker Man
25 The Exorcist

I'm fairly confident that Over The Edge, Convoy and Theatre Of Blood were mine alone, but was I the only person to vote for Capricorn One? Surely someone else must've. When I made my list I thought Rollerball and Get Carter might make it. I certainly thought they had a better chance than Logan's Run and Assault On Precinct 13.

Dammit all, it's been fun, hasn't it?

Great fun!
Out of yours Capricorn One did go on my long list. I loved that film at the time. Get Carter was there too - excellent film.

I'm surprised no one else voted for The Hills Have Eyes, it's a bit of a cult film within our family so I guess we've overstated it's popularity! I thought you or Tatty might've voted for Scum, but it was just me and n3wt.
I thought I'd be the only person voting for quite a few of mine but I didn't mind cos I love the ones on my list. The Abominable Doctor Phibes tho, come on ! it's great!

I just listened to the podcast. Have a listen if you haven't already, it highlights how much work Holden put into it but also how much enthusiasm he has too

Yeah, I'm gonna pimp the bonus podcast one more time. It's short, breezy, and Holden's enthusiasm for the subject is evident throughout. Always a lot of fun to just wind him up and let him go off making historical connections left and right.

*WHEW*

I think he tried to ask if he was the only one voting for certain films on his list (that didn't make the overall top 100).
Yes, that was what I meant.

#143 The Champ (38 points, two votes)
#157 Time After Time (34 points, two votes)
#178 Three Days of the Condor (28 points, five votes)
#222 1776 (20 points, just you)
#231 Bang the Drum Slowly (19 points, just you)
#263 The Hot Rock (16 points, just you)
#272 The Electric Horseman (15 points, just you)
#281 The Frisco Kid (14 points, just you)
#306 Hot Stuff (11 points, just you)
#312 The Seven-Ups (11 points, two votes)
#373 The End (4 points, just you)
Thanks for this info. I'm not surprised about a few of those movies, (especially the comedies towards the bottom of my list), but I'm very surprised there were so few votes for some of the other movies, especially Time After Time, Three Days of the Condor, 1776, The Hot Rock, and The Seven-Ups.

Oh, i see thanks for clearing that up. Out of the ones that didn't make your list gbg, the only ones i've even heard of are The Seven Ups and The Champ.
The ones that you haven't heard of that I would recommend the most are Time After Time starring Malcolm McDowell, David Warner and Mary Steenburgen, and The Hot Rock starring Robert Redford and George Segal.

#176 Death Race 2000 (28 points, three votes)
#251 Over the Edge (18 points, just you)
#304 Convy (11 points, just you)
#369 Capricorn One (4 points, just you)
#400 Theatre of Blood (3 points, just you)
Over the Edge and Capricorn One almost made my list. Both movies were still being considered up until the very last day that I submitted my list.

I'd recommend Time After Time as well, Camo. It's a good film.

GBG, I'm pleased to see that someone else was, at least, considering Capricorn One. I'm surprised to see that you were thinking of Over The Edge, too. It's not unknown, but I was the only person I was aware of who'd even consider it for a list like this.

I like that from these postings we can see just how many films were seperated by so few points. There's one point between Cap One and Theatre Of Blood, ut 31 places.

EDIT: That's quite a list, Holden. Thanks. I sense a challenge. BTW, Zombie 2 and Zombie Flesheaters is the same film. I doubt it matters, but I thought I'd mention it.
