Hello MoFos.
Just thought you'd all like to know that the site has seen a fairly significant uptick in traffic over the last couple of months.
Many of you probably remember those few months where another site with a similar name dealing in illegal movies was going down sporadically, flooding MoFo with additional traffic when it did. Obviously almost all of our traffic records are still during that time frame, but afterwards traffic dipped and stayed at a modest (though decent) level for roughly a year: from June of '08 until June of '09. They increased a bit in July, even more in August, more still in September, and have taken a still larger jump here in October.
This month, unique visitor totals are up roughly 50% from where they were just two months ago, when the increase started. This month will end up with the highest number of unique visitors since February of 2008.
I can't really pinpoint where the increased traffic is coming from. It may not be for a single reason, anyway. We seem to be ranking a bit better on search engines, and may have been helped a bit by Microsoft's new search engine, bing. Whatever the reason, the number of visitors seems awfully stable so far, increasing steadily over 3-4 months and falling within the same range almost every single day this month.
So, I just wanted to thank everyone who makes this site a part of their day, and welcome anyone who might be reading this to join in, as most of the traffic is still from new visitors. Here's to breaking through even this new plateau, and continuing to expand and improve the site to entice all the new folks to get involved.
