Nice choices, guys. I love the films of Kubrick, Lynch and Carpenter as well. Need to see more Hitchcock (other than Vertigo, Psycho, Rear Window, North By Northwest).

For the last one,I would love to add F.F.Coppola because The Godfather and Apocalypse Now,in my view,are just the peak of film making and the greatest pieces of cinema I've ever seen but I disliked The Conversation and it's been quite a while since I saw Godfather Part II and III,so I couldn't name 5 movies.

I would put Tony Scott on my list for now as my number 5, though I only really particularly like the 1st 4 movies:

I think Outlaw Josey Wales & Pale Rider are his best works.
From your Top 5, the only one I would pick would be Unforgiven.
