so i need you people to help me to get some new animation movies. keep in mind please i have watched all the obvious well know movies so i am kinda digging.

It would make me really happy if you people could help me

I'm not old, you're just 12.
How to Train Your Dragon is a really good one. That and Megamind. Loved those two.

I know you said no anime, but if you're looking for good animated films, I'd still suggest Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, and Castle in the Sky.

There's also the Despicable Me films... Minions is out soon as well, a kind of spinoff from Despicable Me.

Studio Ghibli is a decent place to start though... but the animation isn't the same as the Pixar stuff.

Manga/Anime... sometimes called Japanimation are also a good place to go as well. Akira probably being the most famous.

I love what I've seen of Studio Ghibli films. I thought Princess Mononoke was the best one, but that's a bit rough, and the original poster seems to be looking for more family friendly fare.

I've seen a few Ghibli films... My Neighbour Totoro is probably my favourite.

Didn't like The Cat Returns at all though.

The thread title says "not anime."

To the OP:

Without a complete list, i don't know what you mean by "all the obvious" movies, so I'll just list animated films from my own collection that I recommend. Some of these are claymation or CG made to look like claymation, not sure how you feel about that.

All Dogs Go To Heaven (1989)
The Ant Bully (2006)
Bambi (1942)
Bolt (2008)
Brother Bear (2003)
Cars (2006)
Charlotte's Web (1973)
Chicken Run (2000)
Corpse Bride (2005)
Despicable Me (2010)
The Emporer's New Groove (2000)
Finding Nemo (2003)
Flushed Away (2006)
The Fox And The Hound (1981)
How To Train Your Dragon (2010)
Igor (2008)
The Incredibles (2005)
Lady And The Tramp (1955)
The Land Before Time (1988)
Lilo and Stitch (2002)
Madagascar (2005)
Mary And Max (2009)
Meet the Robinsons (2007)
Monster House (2006)
Monsters, Inc. (2001)
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Over the Hedge (2006)
Ratatouille (2007)
The Secret of NIMH (1982)
Shrek (2001)
Shrek 2 (2004)
Shrek The Third (2007)
Sinbad: Legend Of the Seven Seas (2003)
Surf's Up (2007)
Toy Story (1995)
Toy Story 2 (1999)
Toy Story 3 (2010)
Up (2009)
WALL·E (2008)
Wreck-It Ralph (2012)

And when I'm all alone I feel I don't wanna hide
When the Wind Blows, which is a harrowing and very somber look inside the possibilities of nuclear apocalypse during the Cold War, with an elderly, naive couple as its two central characters. I highly recommend it.

Why don't you want Anime films? you are missing out on a world of wonderful animations.

Anyway, try this lovely film from France:

A Cat in Paris

Also these are rather fun:

Also this is excellent:

and the third from the Madagascar series is the best:

Try this one too:

This was a surprise, rather fun:

A Monster in Paris

Also, if you like some science fiction/thriller, try this French animation:

The Secret of Kells

Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

Not mentioned yet, I think:

Persepolis, Ernest and Célestine, A town called panic, Kirikou and the sorceress, Yobi the five-tailed fox, The adventures of Prince Achmed, The Plague Dogs, Coraline, Animal farm, Waltz with Bashir, Waking life, Gandahar, Fantastic Mr Fox, Felidae, It's such a beautiful day, The iron giant...

And well, you can also ask for anime if you feel like it. The closest to "Pixar, Dreamworks and so on" are Coraline and The iron giant I guess.

By the way, does the resizing tool even work?
