The MoFo Top 100 of the Fifties: The Countdown

We have made our way to the fifties, people! It is with great honor that I spend the next two months revealing Mofos favorite from this grand decade!

I would first like to thank those that hosted the previous countdowns. As you all know, it is a hell of a lot more work than it seems like it would be. So props to Brodinski, Harry Lime, Skepsis, Miss Vicky, Rodent, Holden Pike, Daniel M and anyone else who I've missed. And also to Daniel M who made the famous excel sheet which makes hosts lives easier, even if I had to use it on my phone only. Also thanks to the hosts of the fifties HOFs who seemed to spark interest within this decade for the countdown!

Here are some details to get us started:

-67 lists were submitted, and only four of them were partial lists. A good turnout for a decade that is over 55 years behind us. The same point totals will be used from these lists as in previous countdowns.

-Ties were broken first by how many lists they appeared on. Then, if necessary, the film with the highest ranking broke the next tie.

-352 films were included on these lists.

-Two films a day until we reach the top 10. When we get to fifty, I will have a short intermission at which point I will post the one pointers list. This is different then normal but I need extra time. I'll give the reason then .

-one film a day once we reach the top ten. On the final day one and two will be posted.

-Do not reveal your full list until the countdown is over. Don't be that guy.

-Gongs will be partially tolerated, but there may be consequences.
