This film in many regards is the anti Scorsese / De Niro movie, and for that reason a lot of people stayed away from this movie at the theater.

Film Trivia Snippets - During the scene where Rupert and Rita gatecrash their way into Jerry Langford's country home, Jerry Lewis got a distressing taste of De Niro's method acting style.
