I had a cat to live to 19 yes. His last year is when he started showing his age.

He would have seizures as well.

i got him as a puppy from the pound pound. you could see his ribs. he got picked up as a stray. he’s like 10ish now.
Dogs and cats slow down as they get older . My 8 yr old cat lays in one place and tries to play with his toy.

He's 17 pounds and too big to do much exercise. I have to pick him up to put on the bed.
I was blessed with a Burmese cat who lived to be 20, and she was healthy and active up until about two days before she died. (Like, still doing zoomies up and down the upstairs hallway, still able to jump up onto the couch with me, etc.)
