Seen them all today. I think they are all enjoyable to varying degrees but the only one i voted for was Hero as my #10. One of the most beautiful films i've ever seen.

I think Big Trouble in Little China is by far the worst of the John Carpenter movies I've seen, the wire-fu is horrible, but at least it doesn't take itself too seriously.

Hero DOES take itself seriously, and for that it earns a spot next to The Grandmaster in my own personal martial arts hall of shame. I'd have preferred a dice roll over seeing Hero make the list, but it's not the only offender.

Another one from my list - Big Trouble in Little China was at #14 on my list. Quite possibly Carpenter's most accessible movie as he ditches the moody darkness for a colourful cinematic concoction. The rest vary quite a bit in quality - I'm lukewarm on Bourne Supremacy, Casino Royale is decent but I don't feel too strongly about it, I like Hero, and Fellowship of the Ring is a respectable choice. As for the honourable mentions - Sicario is good, The Italian Job used to be on my own Top 100 but I haven't seen it in well over a decade so I guess I may have to revisit it, and I haven't seen Twister.

Hero was on my list. I just watched it again a couple of weeks ago, and it has stood the test of time pretty darn well. Beautiful stuff.

Big Trouble in Little China was on my list somewhere. The other 3 weren't. LOTR?!..

I hate all thing Lord of the Rings. I might have seen Bourne Supremacy, but I'm not sure. I've never had any interest in Bond movies so I've not seen that one. Also haven't seen Big Trouble or Hero.

From the Honorable Mentions I've seen Twister. It's a passable piece of entertainment but nothing more. No votes from me for any of today's films.

Isnt Rings at 51 a little low and I am not surprised Vicky hates those movies.

Big Trouble and Casino nearly made the list, but didn't. Seen all of them including the honorable mentions.

Another set where I've seen all the films but didn't vote for any of them. While I can see The Two Towers or Return of the King making the countdown (they both have large action set pieces), Fellowship seems a bit odd to me. Though I guess it does have a decent amount of action in it too.

Another one for my list as well, Hero was my # 20. Loved the first fight. The most basic of the big three, but very well done. Seen all the rest, including honorables. The parcour chase from Casino Royal's amazing, and the fight that starts in Balin's tomb and moves down and out of Moria has such a scale to it that it's almost ridiculous. Couldn't vote for it cause of my rule of one per franchise, but there I was closest to breaking it and putting up all three.

Have to do a quick mention of Sicario. Saw it in theaters and thought it was well done, but it was really dark and it kinda felt a bit Zero dark thirty-ish. Anyone else think so?

Only reason I can figure LOTR FOTR making it if the other two do not is because many have said its the favorite and best movie in the trilogy.
