OK, Mr. Minio's dismissive griping or Stirchley's?
Seven Samurai vs Lawrence of Arabia
These are two movies that I respect more than I like, but if I had to chose one of them, I would probably chose Lawrence of Arabia.

This scene from Lawrence of Arabia, the entrance of Omar Sharif, I think is one of the best movie scenes ever. The way he dismounts the camel is just perfect. I think it's also the scene that introduces the actor Omar Sharif to the American viewing public -- his first English-speaking role.

I couldn't find a dedicated thread to Lawrence of Arabia, but found this. My answer to the question is Lawrence of Arabia. Also, I had the privilege to see it on the big screen last night at Flix Brewhouse and it truly is spectacular. More later when I get time.
