For Myself, I'm very happy because I enjoy a lot the first two and it's entertaining as hell.

What was your favorite thing about the Purge films?

I saw Anarchy but it really grab me; just felt like low budget horror to me.

Never bothered to watch any in the series ever since I heard how dumb the first movie was in terms of characters and set-up.

The concept is great, but that's about it. I did hear the second was slighty better, but I still have no interest.

The thing isolated becomes incomprehensible
The first one is pretty bad, the second one is slightly better but none of them are as good as they should, with such a good concept!

The first Purge might be the worst movie I saw in 2013. It was definitely the stupidest. I'm not claiming the Nostalgia Critic to be a very good critic, but his Purge review was spot on and captured a lot of my feelings towards it. I really can't look past the basic concept. A bunch of implausible crap is thrown at us and the movie says it will be reality within 10 years, and never explains how it makes sense, how it stops crime, or how it was agreed to at all. The setup could have been decent if it was leading towards a social satire with something to think about, or at least go into the mind of a criminal, but when it's played straight as home invasion horror there's no reason for the premise to exist at all. The second one wasn't good but it was a huge step up. It had the scope to justify the existence of the premise, and gave a reason for how it happened (population control is kind of a lazy reason, and it still doesn't explain most of the problems, but an effort is there). I'm cautiously optimistic that since this is a prequel about the first purge, they have to explain the many, many questions about its origin.

Hey it's my favorite comedy! Glad they coming out with another one after the homerun that Anarchy was
Really though, can this series stop trying to be preachy, or am I gonna hear some more about how the 1% wants to murder all the poor.
Other than that I'll enjoy getting a great laugh out of this on movie night with friends
