BLACK actresses & actors ( no role models for youths lol)

I keep hearing this common theme on the news and by couniclours etc, that balck youths have no role models, and they are not put on TV in order to influence them.

Well anyway I was always going to start a thread on the best black actor around, it just fits in with the news today so, who is the best blacl actor around today, that these young black youths can look up to, they are really quite respectable. But they don’t have street cred, yeah right.

I know this question was asked a decade ago but hopefully it will still be okay to reply .

I like Zawe Ashton a lot – I'm not sure whether people outside the UK will be familiar with her but she's a brilliant actor, possibly best known for Fresh Meat.

Giancarlo Esposito was outstanding in Breaking Bad, although I'm sure I've seen him in other things over the years.

Denzel Washington perhaps is the best around. To date I've only seen him in Man on Fire and The Equalizer and was very impressed both times. The latter film I always go back to because I just love the quirks he put into the character and he has a hell of a presence.
