Music! What makes your blood boil?

Kiwi, its always good to know that despite a disagreement, one could reiterate their position. In other words, even apologize. Im not trying to sound like a know it all even tho i may come off that way but try making peace with some of these clueless types that frequent forums and all you get is silence and/or a cold matter of factly response. Not even sure about humanity tbh lol.

Now thats sad, but im not crying. Id laugh but its not funny either. Its just... empty and clinical.

But I feel sorry for you, not being smart enough to know about opinions. One day you are going to meet someone in real life and you are going to try and bully them into changing their opinion and then you will find out the hard way that you made a mistake.

Make peace with them? Maybe. I have spent the last 40 years of my life here in New Zealand being a Political activist. I know what its like when bullies try to bully you into submission... I was once even attacked by four Conservatives who thought 4 on 1 was fair. I put one in hospital and the others looked like a truck had hit them. Yes, I didn't look any better, but because I put one in hospital, I served six weeks in prison. I wear that as a badge of honor because I NEVER give in to bullies... or those that would deny a fellow human being an opinion.

Don't think someone needs to have a negative opinion of you to feel sorry for you. I feel sorry for anyone with preconcieved notions of modern music, whatever you like it's out there today and in much more volume than before.

BTW, My lung cancer is terminal. If the Gene Therapy pill works, then the cancer will go into remission, but the cancer cells are still in the lining of my lungs. Sooner or later... the BIG C will get me.

When I was told, it took me a split second to "get it" and accept it. I now help others to deal with it. My wife however, already lost two previous husbands (but not to cancer) so I made a deal with her when we were married three years ago (wedding anniversary yesterday as a matter of fact) that she had to die first so she didn't have to suffer like the last two times....

Well.... if death wants me, he will have a hell of a fight. I made a promise to Rianne (my wife) to stay alive for the next 15 years.

Find me some music from any point of time that doesn't suck, I bet you cant

I'd challenge you to find an artist, any artist, that had 100% hits and no duds... no one can say they did, even the masters (Classical music) had their duds.

I didn't assume you hadn't listened to it? Not sure what "it" is exactly, there's modern music out there for you it likely isn't on the charts or whatever but there's absolutely stuff you'll enjoy made every year. It's impossible for there not to be. It's up to you to look for it or to just dismiss modern music as a whole, if you choose the latter then people are going to bite back which i thought this whole thread is about.
