An Education (2009)

Definitely, we thought that too.

My #6 ever.. More relevant today, wouldn't you say?

This might just do nobody any good.
A Face in the Crowd, Medium Cool, Network, Bob Roberts. Those would make a fun mini-film festival.

Maybe add Dr. Strangelove to that as well. In the Loop and Burn After Reading and, curiously but not surprisingly, Blazing Saddles.

Caligula (1979)

This was my first time watching this infamous movie, and I was a little surprised by how pornographic it was. I wonder if Helen Mirren, Peter O'Toole, and John Gielgud had any regrets for starring in it. Malcolm McDowell too, although he fits perfectly in the title role. I would normally be bored out of my head watching any much more acclaimed 2 1/2 hour historical picture. This was so over the top crazy that I was entertained.

I think Gielgud said he had no idea of the graphic content. Probably a lot of the others too and that’s how they got them to sign in.

My first time with this movie was certainly memorable.

Aye, this is a fun one. A grimy, ugly, funny and kinetic throwback. Like an early Michael Mann filtered through Scorsese’s After Hours. Pattinson’s a livewire. Seeing this, I’ll be disappointed if anyone else is cast as Manson in Tarantino’s next movie.

It's certainly one of the more entertaining pornos.

I liked the incest, the forced wine drinking (along with the unique way they relieved a bloated stomach - and it wasn't Alka Seltzer!), the fisting (Caligula's wedding gift to the groom if I remember correctly?) and the big machine that cut heads off (and that's just from seeing it once almost 40 years ago)!

weird people lol

I think I must have either not seen it or blanked it from my memory banks. I dont remember any of that. Seems like a good thing.

Keep your station clean - OR I WILL KILL YOU
Inception - 9.3/10 - I wonder how people on here will rate this among the rest of Nolan's filmography, if you see this post, can you quote me saying what you think of it, I'm very curious.

It’s my second favourite Nolan film.

Awesome! It's a top 3 Nolan film for me, I have to rewatch it again soon to solidify itself. What is your favorite?

Watched Wind River today, thought it was extremely solid. Hadn't heard anything about it till recently, but decided to check it out for my free day today.
A nice slow build up with an excellent payoff.
Don't want to get into too much about it, just definitely recommend it if you enjoy a good mystery thriller.
One of the better movies I've seen this last year.
I rate it a 7.5/10

I saw Wind
River recently. Cannot believe there's been no promo.

Yeah I was pretty shocked as well, but it was the same thing that happened to Hell or High Water which was written by the same guy. For some reason Sicario got a lot of attention and praise, rightfully so, but then HoHW and Wind River both had nothing on them even though they were just as solid if not debatably more so. I guess no one really follows writers though, and I am guilty of that too now that I know Wind River has been out since August.
