The continuing saga of Karate Kid I

Picture the scene. Thursday. I'm the market at my favourite stall, checking out the cheap vids. I'm chatting with the owner, asking him if he's got the Karate Kid in again (I blew it by not buying the trilogy last time). He says that he might be getting it over the weekend.

Monday. I go down there again. "No joy", he tells me, but, as usual, he lets me know that he'll keep hold of it for me if he does get it.

Today. I'm in Marks and Spencers getting some milk, and he's in there. "Alright mate?" I ask. Half-jokingly, I say to him "Got the Karate Kid in yet?". His eyes light up...

"I tell you what, mate", he says, "I was clearing out my collection yesterday and I realised that I've had it under the stall for over a year! But [at this point I expect there to be some major problem], I don't have the cover."

"That doesn't matter!"
"Just come down and pick it up when you want then."

I leave him to finish his shopping, run a couple of errands, and go down to his stall. As soon as I get there, he opens up his cupboard and gets out KK for me.

Now I've been asking for it for a long time. He could have asked for quite a bit, and I'd of paid it. Guess how much he asked for...

£2! Yep. Two pounds. Two hundred pennies. 200p. 200pence.

About $3.

What a deal. And it was worth it all...

Goon on ya Ollie, sounds like you really got yourself a good deal!! Good thing the guy was fair, I know some would have asked for at least three times as much!!
