I'd like to present this idea to all devoted music fans.
Creating series of Music Leagues using a very interesting and helpful online app.
It is all about songs. To participate, you should have a Spotify account and then, you can register for the app using this account.
I think, this application can be installed on your device but this is not obligatory, I use it directly via my browser and it works just perfect. The playlists are created automatically by the app to be listened in Spotify. All points, rankings, stats, everything is in the app.
I'd like to see how many users are interested so I can adjust the things accordingly. In my view, at least about seven participants will be fine. No problem if the popularity increase. I hope so. (No problem they to be 20 and more.)
So...
MoFo Music League I
Invitation link to League I: click here
It consists of 6 rounds, thematically formed.
R1 • Cover Songs
R2 • The Nineties Jukebox
R3 • Duets
R4 • Guilty Pleasures
R5 • Movie Soundtrack
R6 • To be announced
Participants nominate tunes in accordance with the themes. Nobody can see the nominations, even the host. After the last song is submitted, the playlist is automatically opened as well as the ranking points table.
All users have 15 points to assign. You have to spend all of them but can't assign more than 7 to a single song (you can't vote for the song you submitted). After the voting is done, the next round submission is opened.
I've adjusted it for two days for listening but in case it is done earlier, the app starts next round immediately. If a participant missed voting, he/she don't receive points for the submission.
Let's see how it goes. Hope you'll enjoy it and hope enough users going to join the league.
This thread is to serve for discussions and so on. By the way, the app offers variety of options for posting thoughts, comments etc.
