Best thread in a long time and nobody's repping. Shame on you, MoFos!

Haha. Yeah nobody seems interested! Appreciate that though, thanks very much. (smile smiley)

I bet they just don't recognize the movies.

I sure need to rewatch Out of the Past. Tourneur was a great auteur, eh?

Children of Paradise is a masterpiece, but I know a few people who dislike it.

Maya Deren is top 10 female directors ever, easily, if not top 5.

Just happened to have a run there of 3 movies I used multiple images from.
In the 1950s, I have more movies but generally 1 or 2 each.

I can't do it in 300.
Probably go to 333 instead and just pretend that that's a number that means something.

Edit: I think I will be able to make it 400. I need to do a little more work though finalising the pictures, and then make some adjustments before taking it forward. As long as I don't have to drop on to anything else, I should get this sorted in a day or two hopefully.
Bear with me.

I'd like this thread a lot more if I knew what I was looking at. There are a few a recognize, but many more that seem really familiar but I can't place or that look really interesting but I have no idea what they're from so wouldn't know what to watch.

You don't like old films!

Film (8) is The Aventures of Prince Achmed (I think it's on youtube)
Film (26) The Wizard of Oz
Film (38) Out of the Past
Film (42) Sunset Boulevard
Film (47) Limelight

I've seen these. I recognize these. They're not what I was talking about and I have no idea why you chose to identify just a random handful of movies.

I've just about got up to 400 images.
Am sorting them out now, then will make adjustments to the existing posts (27 to add in to where I was up to).
Then will take it forward from there.

Edit: I have the 400. Edits up to 1954 coming up right after this short break.

Right, that's up to where I was now all updated using the 400.
Jeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzz, that was a fiddle.
Not complaining, because I know the software wasn't designed for this exercise (let alone for going back and changing it all), but it reminded me of loading photographs to facebook before it had the quick uploader and you had to do each one individually and then wait for it to load haha!
Exhausted!

Your images are stunning, very sharp and all sized the same dimension...nicely done! Why are you finding these images at? When I look at an internet search, I usually find mediocre images.
