Things that annoy you...

Well, you better remove all the complaints about the weather then... because if there's one thing that's political these days, it's the weather (climate change, global warming, Green New Deals, climate activists, political vandalism in the name of the environment, etc., etc., etc.)

Captain, I'm thinking that after your initial post and my reply to you, some other post were made (that we didn't see) by others that went into the political spectrum. That sounds like what Yoda was explaining. So then I'm guessing that Yoda didn't want to leave some post while deleting others, so chose to delete the entire convo from the 1st post forward...and I can understand that as leaving some post might tend to spark a political debate again.

Was surprised to see no thread on the assassination attempt. Wanted to do one but was unsure of the rules surrounding politics. I don't want to discuss politics; I want to discuss the shooting from a tactical standpoint and how it appears the USSS and local police completely dropped the ball on this. I guess I'll hold off and wait to see if another member with more experience than me commences one.

Not a mod, but I don't see any way that this gets discussed without veering into actual politics. If you want to discuss the assassination attempt in any capacity, there are plenty of other platforms online that allow political discussion.

Is it really a record-breaker? Because I've been hearing that my entire life - it's always the hottest summer it's ever been, or the coldest winter, or the most rainfall, or the longest drought, or the heaviest snow, or the highest selling movie of all time (which is dubious since movies keep getting crappier, yet keep breaking records. Or is that just a case of a continuously growing population and inflation?)
