For some reason, I really like this film.

When something is called The Abyss, I’m forced to log it in my notes as ‘The Abyss Netflix Swedish 2023’. Ah well.

This is based on a Stephen King short story and it has that "feel" like all the good movies do.

Nice to see Donald in this.

A slow-burn, but I’m enjoying it.

Get a cup of espresso before you watch it.

You killjoy! But I did get me some black coffee, which is lovely, so much obliged.

Okay, riveting it is not, but watchable enough.

I hope you at least got the 126-minute unedited version.

Yes. I’m enjoying it, actually. Was in the mood for exactly that.

It’s a classic. One of my faves.

This film annoyed me in its first few seconds. Horror is horror, but this feels like pure fear-mongering.

Beyond the concept itself, it’s not bad. The dinner scene is incredibly watchable. The whole thing is giving me the strongest Succession vibes. But something is lacking; not captivating somehow.

I'm probably going to regret this.
