Currently filming in NYC, the Bob Dylan biopic currently being filmed by director James Mangold will star Timothée Chalamet as Dylan.

Ugh, will definitely not watch Chalomet as Dylan. Probably took them half a second to choose him.

Cate Blanchett is Bob Dylan.

I prefer "localized" biopics, i.e. ones that cover a period in the subject's life to ones that cover their entire life, so I'd give it a chance. It looks like it spans his entry into the New York City folk scene to his transition from acoustic to electric instruments.

Joan Baez, Johnny Cash and Pete Seeger (Edward Norton) are in it as well.

Orange and teal theming is still going strong, I see.

There will be early IMAX screenings for this movie on the 18th in select cities across the US.

Tickets are now on sale at all the major theater chains.

The film is already getting quite a bit of awards buzz going, let's hope it's really what audiences want to see.

I have a feeling this could be very good. I'll pay attention to MoFo's word of forum.

Actually seen him interviewed a few times. Said the movie took 5 years to make. They were going shoot it in 2020 then the pandemic hit. So he had been sitting on this for awhile.

Seems to me by all accounts the movie is so-so but he crushed it. Guess we will see.
