Just got back from WalMart and it looked like the christmas season. As we get closer to landfall its gonna get worse.
Just got a full tank of gas. Soon there wont be any.
21 cans of soup.
Will fill up a bunch of containers of water.
Plenty of books to read.


Trying to urge anyone on the west coast of Florida to just haul ass north, but they wont. Feel like Im watching a horror movie screaming for them to run, but they never run.

It looks like this hurricane is going to be a very bad one. It's a Category 5 with up to 160 mph winds.

Im staying put actually. Im on the east coast of Florida so most likely it will just be power outages, and hopefully just minor flooding. If Hurricane Milton stays a Cat 5 or even Cat 4 then itll be castrophic wherever it lands.
When a meterologist gets choked up it kind of wakes you out of desensitization

My wife was just telling me how bad this hurricane could be Stay safe Tongo and check back often so we don't worry about you. Our thoughts are with you and all the people in the hurricanes path.

Wow. Ok so this happened. The tiniest twister just went by my house. They say tornadoes sound like trains, but this was more of a loud whistle. Then nothing. The powers out, its Wednesdsy 5:26pm and Milton hasnt even really hit Florida yet, this is just the outer-outer most bands.....and Im on the east coast.
Gotta use my phone sparingly now.

good luck down there. i always look at these hurricanes to see if they will wallop nova scotia where my sister lives. milton is expected to travel over florida and move out into the atlantic.

Yeah when it exits is when itll hit me. Im right next to Port St Lucie county, and the tornadoes werent all small lile mine.

Well Im ok..just no power like 3 million other people. Weird when all the thought is about the hurricane and it was a tornado that hit the property.

Just found out everyones got power and water in the area except our property and the neighbors. The twister was small but did alot of damage knocking out the power lines. Power company would normally be right on it but theres 2 million people without power now.

Better take a shower while there's hot water. Once we were without power in the middle of winter for 5 days...I wanted to take a shower and nearly passed out from how damn cold the water was!

Augh! Really thought this thread was done, but Hurricane Rafael is predicted to go into the center of the Gulf of Mexico. After that its anyones guess, as various trackers are predicting wildly different trajectories. This is like watching a roulette wheel ball, but hoping it doesnt bounce on your number.
