Juror No. 2 - Clint Eastwood

Very bad news for Juror #2. According to World of Reel, Warners plans to release this in limited release in less than 50 theaters. No wide release is planned and they are not doing marketing for it either. World of Reel said he heard from someone that it was a "very strong" film. If the film is decent, why would they be doing this? It seems like a bit of a slap in the face to Clint Eastwood, who is at or near the end of his career. He has been loyal to them for many decades and made them a lot of money over that time as well.

Could it be that they're just taking an honest, hard look at the commercial prospects for the film and concluded that it wasn't likely to do well? It could still be a very good film, but not one that would attract huge numbers of moviegoers.

Many mid-budget adult dramas haven't been doing well for a few years now.

I felt the movie overall was weak. Clearly inspired (borrowed) from 12 Angry Men.
It has some good points.
I liked how it handled the commentary on the law enforcement & judiciary. Nicholas Hoult is excellent. It's a tight script.

But it just seems weak as movie.
