Movie You're Watching Tonight

The Guy Who Sees Movies
Tonight, it's one of the coolest-ever sci-fi-space movies, the 1950's The Forbidden Planet. A terrestrial space ship, capable of light speed visits a distant planet where something very bad happened to some previous colonists....destroyed by monsters that seemed to materialize from nowhere. The planet also contains an unimaginable internal mechanism that supplies unbelievable amounts of power, but to WHAT? Then, an an invisible monster begins to kill the crew. What is it? Why?

The animated FX were amazing for the 1950's and the electronic musical soundtrack combines with environmental sounds, a truly amazing soundtrack. It's one of those movies I have to pull off the shelf now and again. The "Great Machine" follows. You should put on your big muffy headphones and turn up the sound. The electronic music is remarkable.

And, the "Id Monster" (the plot in the later part of the movie will explain what an Id Monster is...it's Freudian), about 3 minutes in. Again, you need good sound to appreciate it. The roars of the monster and screams of the crew are really palpable.

Last night of the business trip, so now I’m enjoying the seafood and the chrome cast.

This is not bad. A very solid premise. Having been exactly that female manager, I feel this one. Good soundtrack. Strange way of doing dialogue, though, as someone who swears a bit too much (far too much at times), even I think the protagonist overswears, as it were, and in this case it really messes with suspension of disbelief. After all, she’s in a service job, pure customer service, she can’t get away with ‘****’ in every line.
This is a very strange film. I think it’s good, but the message, as it were, is perplexing.
WARNING: spoilers below
So it appears that the message is the female protagonist shouldn’t have enforced her boundaries, shouldn’t have forced oversexed pigs to respect her, shouldn’t have fired a rude and generally awful employee.
I’m no feminist the way the word is used nowadays, but this seems very strange.

@AgrippinaX you need to check this documentary out. You may find it interesting.

Thank you for the tip — that does sound like something I must check out. Just got back from the business trip (could have been worse, but I am drained), so recuperating and catching up on my ever-growing watch list.

Also, the team have a YouTube channel.

Tried to find a masterpiece.
Daniel Gimenez Cacho is such an incredible actor. I don't think he has ever given a bad performance

I have a ticket for the best movie of the 21st century.
