The first one I guessed I knew it was a silent film from the look of it. Then you said it was a well known director, so I figured D.W. Griffith...I knew it wasn't Birth of a Nation (no trucks in that movie) So I figured it had to be Intolerance.


The second image I recognized the style as The Leopard a film I have seen.
