Third turnover for the Lions - I thought they might tighten-up the score there, at least get 3, man, what an unexpected first half.
Detroit has bounced back and won before with bad turnover games, but the Commanders are big time late in the 4th QTR -

Insanely close. Force me to pick and I think Detroit pulls it out, simply because they're running the ball unbelievably well and that's a lot lower variance than basically everything else. Assuming they stop turning the ball over.

I do too, no matter what, no matter the record or the seed or the electrifying players (like Barry), it always ends like this for them.
Edit, sister just text me, she's crestfallen, she's waited her whole life for a team like this, a first seed, and its heartache again

Poor Detroit. I would have really gotten behind them like Buffallo (amazingly). Ive no confidence Washington will capitalize on this.
And the folk legend of Jayden Daniels continues to grow.
I know few franchises have suffered like Detroit in the Super Bowl era, but as a lifelong Redskins/Commanders fan this is frickin' awesome. Just astounding and fun, even if it ends at the NFC Championship. Washington has a very incomplete team, and yet they keep winning beyond all reason. It is starting to feel like a crazy sports destiny thing. No rookie QB has ever even made it to the Super Bowl, much less won, so this is starting to get to an unprecedented level. And the Commanders are doing this with a pretty lousy defense. They are not good, clearly, but they are pesky and opportunistic, and luckily for them Jayden and the offense can keep them in shoot outs with just about anybody. Jayden, for his part, is doing this with a receiving corps that, outside of the marvelous Terry McLaurin, are players who would be relegated to the practice squad on any of the other seven teams playing this weekend. Dyami Brown, John Bates, and Olamide Zaccheaus?!? This shouldn't be possible.
Whatever happens the rest of this post season, the thought of what Washington will do with another draft and free agents who clearly can see there is something good happening here now....wow. Shoring up that defense, getting some legit receivers, a big back to compliment Robinson's speed, and an actual kicker could make them truly scary.
Assuming Philly takes care of L.A. they will be favored next week, but surely they can't be cocky about playing Washington a third time this season.

Yeah, I’m old enough to Remember when The Commanders last won a Super Bowl. Way back in 1991.
Against Buffalo.
And it’s very possible we could get a rematch between them 34 years later.

If you forced me to pick an underdog to win it would be Washington. When in doubt, pick a guy like Daniels who might just randomly will his team to victory.
I mean, sort of. Daniels is great but I think you have to say Detroit lost that game more than anything. The fact that they scored 31 points while turning the ball over four times is bonkers.

Lol at all the refs hate because of the Chiefs game. Happy to see KC win as a fan, but many people seem to be forgetting that refs have been calling BS for over a decade now.
Yeah, I won't argue that there were some bad calls, but "here's an article based on a dozen tweets I found of people saying something" is a type of document that needs to end yesterday. You can find hundreds of people saying anything, and you can find thousands complaining about the refs or umpires every single game in every single sport, so the creation of such an article is just a choice, rather than reflecting some special news event someone was merely observing or documenting.

Lions losing is a big deal in particular because they had the best Super Bowl odds, obviously entirely because the AFC Championship is gonna be between two particularly good teams either way. Unsurprisingly, then, it's kind of a giant mish-mash now. The Chiefs are +225 simply owing to the fact that they won their game already. Eagles just behind because now they don't have to play the Lions. Still wide open.

We got your snow over here. And we're getting sub-zero temps to go with it the next few days, too.

Not looking forward to that but I was expecting a blizzard for the bills v ravens tonight. Weather that puts hair on a players knuckles.
A blizzard swooping in and ruining Josh Allen's passing attack would be a real "God clearly hates the Bills" moment.

Man this game is a mess.
Feel bad about that Rams fumble, hard to even blame these guys. You really hope that doesn't end up being the reason they lose.

Yeahhh, unfortunately, it looks like the weather is a huge part of the outcome here. Those fumbles were brutal.
We'll never know but I strongly suspect the Rams win this game without the blizzard. Bummer.
