Films You Love, But Everyone Else Hates

I too enjoyed Ang's Hulk.

Sometimes these movies will eventually find an audience, I remember The Fountain (2006) getting slammed and me feeling all alone (I rather enjoyed it), but now I'm seeing a bunch of my movie pals giving 4-stars, even 4.5... so maybe the tide has turned and I'm not so alone after all?

What else? Oh, The Good German, nice ode to Casablanca and a pretty compelling tale - I should watch it again just to see if I still like it as much as I used to, because I was baffled by the low-end reactions to it.

The Man Who Knew Too Little - has this found its audience yet? it should. In defense of it, years ago, I wrote.... "One critic called it "a misguided and terminally unfunny disaster." and Ebert gave it 1 star. So yeah, this was not well received critically nor highly regarded by fans, but I love it, I think it’s a riot. And Bill’s great in it as a clueless guy who thinks he’s playing a part in the “theater of life” but is actually embroiled in an international incident. It’s farce at its finest."

Victim of The Night
I was shocked to learn that people think The Cannonball Run is a bad movie. I love it. All my friends love it. It's fun.

I love Alex Proyas’ Knowing and Roland Emmerich’s The Day After Tomorrow.

Die Another Day. I don't love it. But I appreciate it as a cheesy mind-numbing popcorn flick. What else? Steven Seagal's movies after 2000. Everyone totally shits on them as being some of the worst movies ever. But I think they're fun, funny, and entertaining.

I did enjoy Knowing quite a bit back in the day. Not sure how well it would hold up now though.

Pixels (2015).

a talking cat!?! would potentially make my top 50 if i made one.

Have you seen the movie Nine Lives (2016)? The cat doesn't talk, but we can hear his thoughts, so it's almost like he's talking.
It's not a highly rated movie, but Hubby and I loved it.

Add me to the people who liked Knowing. Plus Star Trek Into Darkness and The Accountant.
