Posting Images

Google has changed its image features - there is no longer a "view image" button.
Used to be you could click on "view" which would give you a full screenshot of the image and you could copy the url and post it here with "Insert Image."
Now, on Google, you can only go visit the image's web page - I can't find a way to capture a url for the just the image.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to post images from the Net?

When you find the image you want to add, right click it and select "copy image address" from the list and add it as you usually would.

I still don't like Google's change - I used to like getting a full screen view of images. I guess I could just change my search engine and use Bing or something!

Just was not expecting that so it made me laugh.

I posted about this yesterday on the Shoutbox and later found the easy solution for Firefox and Chrome users, a browser add on that restores the View Image button at Google Images. Works like a charm.

Hey, the Google Chrome "view image" add on just stopped working today.
I checked and the computer says it's still there and that it was added on (it doesn't allow me to add it on again).
What's up with that? Did Google find a way to bypass the add on?

I was wondering if anyone can enlighten me on this, as I'm having trouble posting images as well. I am using Android (my laptop is strictly for work). Apparently Chrome won't allow me to paste images, and I tried uploading from my phone but I keep drawing a blank.


Strangely, I have no trouble posting clips from YouTube..


Any advice would be most appreciated 🙏

I don't use a phone to post, but I did a little research and maybe this will answer your question, I hope.

Also try going to your User CP and then Edit Options which will take you to a page that allows you to select between Default-Desktop-Mobile. You might need to change one of those selections. Some MoFos with phones prefer to use Desktop as it gives more posting options. Others find Mobile works better.

You'd be surprised at how useful posting images are. I know there's a way because a number of MoFos have android phones and post images.

Your suggestion to change the Edit function to mobile did the trick, I think

i can't post any images from google.

I hate Google so don't use it but just this once I'll try to post images from there.

Copied the image link and inserted it in the picture icon in the advance editor on MoFo. Let's see if it worked.

This time I copied the image link from Google search using Copy Clean Link in Firefox.

This time I clicked the image and Google opened it up and I chose Share and copied the link for sharing.

But there's lots of other search engines, try DuckDuckGo or Brave or Startpage or Bing.

If you're using Google it looks like we can't post an image from the image search results anymore.

Yeah, unfortunately that's on Google's end. Their search results for images pass you through a redirect script.

Doesn't mean you can't still use it for images, it just means you have to click through to the image and then copy its address, rather than copy it without clicking.

Hmmm...I just successfully posted a Google image in another thread..strange!
