Obviously they saw it as a montage of all "Wizard"-related music from then to now. The James Bond musical felt like the exact same thing starting with the classic theme and ending with the Adele song. Personally I'm glad I missed the intro.

Was pleased Anora cleaned up and Mikey got her Oscar. I love the story of Demi Moore getting accolades but Mikey definitely deserved it.

I believe Sean Baker set a record with four trophies in one night as well.
I googled it, yeah he did. Sean Baker is the first person to come home with four Oscars for one movie.

>but unfortunately it was flanked by him rambling and not really saying anything.

True. He looked pretty emotional so I think he was losing his thought a lot. I still got the point he was making. That said, all the speeches were pretty pedestrian so his still stood out.
Brody’s speech was too rambling…ditto Culkin

>Brody’s speech was too rambling…

I felt he was just nervous and struggled to get it all out. Otherwise it was par for the course for him. He always sounds that serious about his career and the acting process in most interviews.

'Nickel Boys' is absolutely superb. They strapped steadycams to the actors heads to give the feeling of POV capture. Some of the camerawork and imagery is really beautiful. So of course it hasn't been nominated for best cinematography.
Watched this film yesterday and I don’t get what all the fuss is about
