There is a thread that some how got started on an ESPN fantasy baseball forum about the top 5 movies. thought you might want to have a look, you might find it interesting or NOT.

http://boards.espn.go.com/boards/mb/...=4859230&tsn=1

The very first person who posted their top 5 from that thread claimed Tombstone, Gladiator, God Father II, The Matrix, and Top Gun were his/her favorite movies...

...so now I've lost interest

There's no accounting for taste sometimes.

So, just because someone likes Baseball, they suddenly don't have any good movie tastes?

No one said anything about the movies being bad quality, or those who like them have bad taste, I like all those movies from the top five I put in my post above. Also being a fan of baseball is neither here nor there regarding movies, so that point is moot (I haven't used that word in a while so I figured I'd throw it in somehow ). It's just that some of the movies like Topgun, The Matrix, and Tombstone, as good as they are, just seem odd to me to have it in the top 5 favorite movies. But hey, to each their own right?

I thing that Iro said it quite well... There's no accounting for taste sometimes

hmm, curious. I was always under the impression that movies tasted quite like liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti...

You Aussies are a silly lot.
At least we're not on crack.

They're movies. Lots of different people like lots of different movies regardless of objective quality (and even then, the objectivity required to determine the "best" is still steeped in somebody's sense of subjectivity). Besides, if you like them yourself, why would you think it odd that someone else considers them "top 5" material? This leads me to wonder why you even brought it up in the first place.

And just for the record, the best Fantasy Baseball scene in a Movie is Paul Rudd's secret rendezvous in Knocked Up.
