do you get many trick or treaters?

None so far as usual. Halloween not so great here in England.

I use to live in a village in the middle of nowhere in the countryside and children always went out trick or treating. We use to decorate the front of the house and it was a lot of fun.

Now, where I live is near a town and the first year we lived here I decorated the house as usual and was very surprised when not one person came down the street on Halloween... the next year I just put out pumpkins, again nothing.

So since then I've done nothing for trick or treaters.

There's about 300 units in our 2 building complex, we'll get a lot. The office gives out pumpkin decals to put on the door to those of us giving out the candy.

The boys aren't thrilled with their costumes but they're ready.

I live in a residential area so I usually get like about 30 ppl, there's mostly a few houses on my street that have their porch lights on so it looks dark.

I'm in an apartment building, so we don't have trick or treaters.

Same. My friend lived on one of those streets that had an insane Halloween presence. I would go over her house, bringing candy to give out to the kids. Sometimes I would dress up. Unfortunately, she and her husband needed a bigger place and they moved.

The boys look great! Give them a treat for me.

We got around 20+ trick or treaters and we took my son to about as many participating houses. That doesn't sound like much, but it's a huge uptick from the last few years, where we averaged 10-13 for both. Halloween is making a comeback, baby!

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
We had about one hour (around 5 - 6 pm) when we literally had trick-or-treaters non-stop. It felt like somebody was busing them onto our street. We probably had around 200 kids during that time.

But we had literally nobody before that, and only one kid after that.

The kids that came around were very happy because we give out candy and toys. We spend all summer going to garage sales and flea markets, and we buy as many little toys as we can find.

We buy as many little PVC figures, little action figures, fast food kids' meal toys, etc., that we can get for 10 cents or less. Anything that is a little toy of a character that kids recognize. (Superheroes, Disney, Looney Tunes, Hello Kitty, Spongebob, Pokemon, etc.)

In addition to giving out candy, we always have a basket of toys and a basket of dinosaur figures, and we let each kid pick a toy that they like. Every kid leaves here happy.

We probably had somewhere between 700 and 900. Halloween is big in our neighborhood.
