This list just dashed my notion that the avg. Australian speaks in nonsense syllables, listens to noisy tapeloop semi-music and watches Picnic at Hanging Rock every weekend at the drive-in. Thanks a lot.

At first, I read that list as saying that Australia's #1 movie of all time was 10. I thought, wow, they must really have a thing for braids.

Where's The Year My Voice Broke? I would have hoped that masterpiece would at least get the love it deserves in its homeland.

I was hoping for the top 100 Australian movies silly me

In the Beginning...
Yes! Three cheers for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind! I'm always amazed at how high that film is placed on these kinds of lists.

(Although, I don't agree with many of these choices. Films like Life is Beautiful and Trainspotting are too low on the list, and Serenity shouldn't even be on there.)

That's the pity about this list - the highest-ranked Aus movie is #24, out of about 2 or 3 Aus movies. Shows how much we don't like how our own crap smells.

Wow, Australians sure have different taste in film. I thought when I was reading this, the order was wrong. They put "Citizen Kane" in 92nd place? Goodfellas was way down in 88th?

Maybe they should watch films in reverse, and they'll have a different list.

They like British films down there don't they.
