Where the Wild Things Are on DVD and Blu-Ray March 2nd

Warner Home Video has announced DVD ($28.98) and Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($35.99) releases of Where the Wild Things Are which will be arriving in stores from the March 2nd.

Special features include:

• 4 Webisodes
• All-new short entitled "Higglety Pigglety Pop!" (Blu-Ray only)
• HBO First Look featurette (Blu-Ray only)
• Digital copy (Blu-Ray only)
• Standard definition DVD of Where the Wild Things Are (with the Blu-Ray)

What with the box-office quote on the back? Seems odd.

It's about gosh diddily darn time! I've been dying to see this movie again.

That's not the back of the DVD cover, that's the ad is it appears in the advance catalogs for DVD retailers. They often point to how much a film made at the box office, or even how it is similar to other recent movies that may have done well.

I have been waiting for this to come out on DVD, since I missed it while in theaters. The single images of it's cinematography that I've seen are breathtaking, especially with the giant beasts in the same frame as Max.

Can't wait to watch this. I think I'm going to like it quite a bit.
