Hello y'all, i'm into audiobooks now, and i'm planning on it to be thee thing till i die, Audible is the ticket, i love how it keeps track of your listening time in months, days, hours and minutes. I'm currently on my 22nd day, i have to get to my first month before this year is over, and i can do that if i average about 12 hours per day.

In film my update is having gotten the beautiful Louis Feuilliade crime serial set from Eureka.

I hope you all have a great festive season, i might do a Tim Curry reading A Christmas Carol while watching Silent Night, Deadly Night, that's how i roll

Yay, but I've only heard three, but enjoyed them, especially the authors William Burroughs and Alex Van Halen narrating. I did also pay for Mort Sahl's biography, but unless I can find them free on YouTube (like "Junky"), I'll probably just find a free e-book.

Trouble with a capital "T"
Well I don't read, books that is, but when I on e tried audiobooks I disliked that one voice did all the characters in the story. I'd prefer different voice actors read the various characters in the story and have yet another voice actor be the narrator and read those parts. I don't think many audiobooks are like that, so a big no for me.

Are we thinking of the same Alex Van Halen? Is there another one I don't know about, or is it THAT one narrating?

Alex from the band Van Halen. The book is entitled, "Brothers". Came out October 22nd. I even have the e-book.

I don't actually wear pants.
I can't do audio books. When I listen to something, it's mostly as background noise to help me focus or drown out unwanted noise. I've turned on comedy albums, and they eventually turn into background noise and I don't notice what the comedians are saying. At least I can focus on what I'm doing. I also can't retain much if I just hear it. I need to be able to see the words to remember them. It's why I turn on subtitles all of the time; so I can remember what the people say. With my piss-poor memory, I use any and every advantage I can.
